Quickwedge Standards and Verticals form the support and are made from standard scaffold tubes that are 48.3 x 4 mm thick. With the latest innovations, they are also available in 48.3 x 3.25 mm in both grade 50 and 40 C as per BS: 4360. They have a series of “V” pressed and welded at a nominal 500 mm on the tube to provide a location for ledgers and transoms. They are also available with integral wedge spigots or open-ended ones.

QUICKWEDGE LEDGER

These items are made from tubes with a pressed wedge-fixing device at each end. These are used to tie the standards longitudinally. On the inside of the scaffold, they are used at the platform level, and on the outside, they serve as a guardrail.

QUICKWEDGE TRANSOM

These are made out of 50 x 50 x 5/4 mm angle, joined back to back with flange-type extensions on both sides, which provide support for working platforms with battens. These are engaged with “V” pressing on the standards.

QUICKWEDGE RETURN TRANSOM

Manufactured from steel pressing and shaped so that it can be placed over a ledger to form a 900-foot return in the scaffold, the Return Transom has seating on one side for a steel stage or timber battens.

QUICKWEDGE DIAGONAL BRACE

The diagonal Brace has pivoting captive wedge fittings welded to each end, which are located in the “V” pressing on the standards used to form facade bracing.

QUICKWEDGE ACCESS STAGE BRACKET

Cantilever transom similar to the stage bracket with an integral guard rail standard to take a ledger. This component is used where a platform is required on the outside of the scaffold with steel or timber battens, making a platform 0.686m wide and available in both rolled sections and back-to-back angles.

3 Board
QUICKWEDGE ONE BOARD STAGE BRACKET

One board stage bracket enables an additional 255 mm platform to be provided on the inside of the scaffold. They do not require tie bars to connect them together. Available with rolled “T” sections or back-to-back welded angles.

QUICKWEDGE TWO BOARD OR THREE BOARD STAGE BRACKET

Two and three board stage brackets enable an additional 450 mm (1’1″) and 675 mm (2’3″) platforms, respectively, to be provided on the inside of the scaffold nearest to the building. Tie bars must be used to connect the brackets together. They are available in both rolled sections and back-to-back welded angles.

QUICKWEDGE STEEL BATTEN

Steel battens are lightweight, non-slip working surfaces that can be used with transoms.

TIE BARFRAME

Made out of 38 mm x 38 mm angle iron with a dowel at both ends. Used to connect stage brackets together.

TOE BOARD BRACKET

When clamped to standards at the end of the scaffold platform, the toe board bracket secures the end toe board, which can be either steel or timber.
